Phase 2 - Catalog Preparation
image

Once accepted, the book is prepared for advertising and presentation on the multi-media enhanced CD catalog, which goes to participating stores.

The catalog will include a preview chapter of the book, chosen for its representational quality and exposure to the book's primary theme and characters. We prepare a printable publicity sell sheet/poster, which may include an author bio and comments about the book's motivation. Book retailers are encouraged to print this out as a book note for their customers. Each book may feature a direct buy link for Internet ordering or a number for phone purchases, as well as the handy Quick Notes reference table.

The catalog will be shipped quarterly to participating retailers.

Phase 3 -Bookseller Education
and Support

Any book included in the HIDDEN TREASURE BOOKS MARKETING catalog may bear a distinctive colophon on its spine. This tells the book retailer, as well as the browsing shopper, that it has been quality certified. This gives the shopper the confidence to purchase the work from a little-known, but talented author.

Bookseller Contact

Here begins the most crucial and unique aspect of the program. Representatives of PageFree will routinely contact decision-makers at the retail level and make them aware of general book, reviews, positive sales figures and when appropriate, coordinate advertising in local media to bring customers into the store. Each book will be promoted in appropriate groups or individually, depending upon the demographics of that retailer's customer base. It may involve in-store promotions, booksignings, media press release, etc., taking into consider the retailer's recommendation as they will know not only their customers but the most effective manner in which to reach them. Advertising that requires a budgetary allowance will be proposed to the participating author/publisher for their pre-authorization.
